Binou You are right, the scheme is funded circa 90% which is in accordance with the experts' recommendation which takes into account the forecasted compound returns which means there is no need for the projected liabilities to be 100% funded. They slashed the contribution rate for over ten years up to 2010 in order to reduce the overfunding. The States will have to make a case to warrant change and I just can't see how they will be able to prove it needs fixing.
