Too many police and not enough crime means the police have to generate 'business'. What a waste of time and money. If somebody wants to attack a woman they will do it regardless. If a young women gets a friend of theirs to pick them up through facebook why is that more dangerous than a taxi driver they have never met? The police service needs to be scaled back massively with more emphasis on part time special constables and just keep a core of specialists, not the 180 full time staff they currently employ. This would be the first place I would look for savings if I was in the States.
