Such sad news that yet another "institution" in Guernsey is going. But lets face it prime real estate is all these people have in mind. There is no big money to be made in the pub trade in Guernsey anymore, or indeed in the UK for that matter. The shareholders of Randalls are only interested in one thing and that is making money, so you can understand their rationale for not renewing the lease. It looks like this summer will be every guerns last chance to have a pint and watch the sun set from the best view point the island can offer on a sunny summers day!! Lets hope were in for a good one:)
