Wrong! They are are not paid any more than a non-firearms trained officer. Although they may on occasions be "on call" or work overtime that may result in additional payment. A Police vehicle involved in the pursuit of an offender can exceed the speed limit with blue lights and sirens in use. (I would have thought that most people would have been aware of this one).
