I don't know if you realise, but there are some contributors on this site that have a writing style similar to mine, namely Spartacus and, occasionally, Deputy Matt Fallaize, so I wouldn't use my choice of expression as corroboration for the belief that I make myself seem erudite. Equally, I don't think you should use my choice of vocabulary to support this claim of yours; none of the words I use are in the list of the English Lanuage's most rarely used words. Though you didn't explicitly say that I was using such language to make myself appear intelligent, there is a strong probability that you are insinuating so. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using scientific or philosophical topics to illuminate some of the details on these pages or in the posts made by contributors as they illustrate the significance of such topics with concern to the larger environemnt and human existence, the value of which many are inclined to overlook or underestimate. The issue is that certain individuals, most likely those who want to engage in some light repartee or are less keen on viewing the situation from a profoundly philosophical or scientific perspective, dismiss such ideas as either the work of a madcap, troll or egotist.
