Bry, years ago I suggested than when office blocks were built the States should have made it part of the conditions that provision should be made that each block could easily be converted into accommodation blocks and The States given first refusal if the company had to sell up and move out. Plumbing and wiring could be built into the initial construction and easily be commissioned on handover. Should the Finance Industry collapse then these blocks could be converted into flats and Guernsey`s housing problem could solved practically overnight.
