That's true. Parents can be very weak willed. Even if it's just to get the child to be quiet. If the supermarkets changed the way they displayed unhealthy products these parents wouldn't need to give in to the whinging child. Packaging obviously also plays a big part in this problem. Most sweet products are directly aimed at children. Perhaps dressing up fruit and veg in a similar way might make them more appealing.
