Dave Jones "We all pay for things we don't personally benefit from." Unless a service is beneficial to society as a whole I do not agree that the government has any justification for using taxpayer money to pay for it. Thats just my opinion. Education of all children benefits them individually but also benefits society as a whole. I don't think the same can be said of using valuable real estate for motorists to park their cars on. Again that just my opinion and open to debate.
