Oh Dear Children are uninformed and misinformed. The current trend seems to be for sports drinks which they believe will enhance their performance whereas this is just marketing hype. Children are greatly influenced by peer pressure and I am strongly against the sale of any bottled or canned drinks in schools. I gather the main health risk with sugary drinks, including fruit juices is that they rot the teeth. I agree that cola is addictive but it is extremely easy to wean off compared to cigarettes or any other addiction.
