If we were really serious about global warming or our carbon footprint would we be selling fuel to all the airlines and private aircraft that come here ? How about all the super yachts that visit our harbour and take on several tanker loads of fuel at a time? I seem to recall one such vessel being reported by the GEP as taking on 400,000 litres, that is about as much as 1,000 small cars use in a year! All those litres add to OUR carbon footprint and that is why the little effort we make as individuals will have little or no effect on the overall picture. Sorry Rosie, not with you on this one ( or many others come to think of it...) we are but a small speck of rock in the English Channel and to think we have any influence on the world at large is pretty laughable. ;-)
