I don't agree that the climate change which we are undoubtedly experiencing has nothing to do with pollution. Even if there was no connection, there is no downside to creating less greenhouse gasses. However, thinking that Guernsey can make a difference in practical terms is deluded. We might give ourselves a pat on the back, but really who cares? Ecowarriors like rosie would do better spending their time persuading the billions of Chinese, Brazilians and Indians not to breed, trade in their pushbikes for cars or spend their new found wealth on consumer goods. Most of the World doesn't give a stuff about how much pollution it creates or where the filth ends up. Why should Guernsey be the little boy with his finger in the dyke whilst the sea is pouring in over the top? Unfortunately, whatever we do or say is pointless.
