What I would like to achieve.
Green issues are very close to my heart. The company that employs me has just been acknowledged as one of the top 100 green efficient companies in the world. This experience has made me realise that if we all pull together we can make a difference to the island as regards recycling and energy/pollution free efficient green systems and buildings without spoiling our beautiful island.
I would like to see better communications between States departments and members so that a more united and focused direction is achieved during debates at the monthly meetings.
The States needs to adapt some form of a forward moving flexible plan similar to an ACE system (Achieving Competitive Excellence). This system is connected to a quality management program, which is used as a tool within large companies to highlight possible future issues and identify problem areas. This will allow for correction or improvement of services within strict financial guidelines that will ultimately prevent overspending.
Income is always an important issue. In this highly-efficient world our communications and transport needs to be first-class in order to help all our trading companies to diversify into as many fields as possible. Without it we cannot support all the services we require for the health, education and lifestyle we would like to have for our families.
Summary
I would like to thank Uschi and my family for their support, which has opened up this opportunity for me to put something back into the island, which has provided for my family and yours through the years.
The health and welfare of this island is paramount to me so the Guernsey way of life can be preserved.
Your vote and support is important to me to realise this opportunity.
