Anthony Walkington
My fellow Islanders.
The time to stand up and vote for our future is here and like you, I worry about what is going on with our island.
It seems we have a ‘Black Hole’ in our economy and yet we can’t stop spending! It seems to me that at the moment we pay more and more and get less and less.
I would like to see less money wasted: it would also be nice to know that all of our eggs are not in one basket. We do need the finance industry, but there are many excellent and prosperous companies in Guernsey that are not based on the financial markets and they need protecting as much as any other business.
I’ve decided that the time has come to find out what is really going on and the only way to get at the facts is to stand for deputy.
As a local businessman, I have a deep interest in keeping our economy stable and safe, as like you I have worries and concerns about the future of our island.
If elected I will try to cut through the fog, smoke and mirrors that make it hard to see what we need to see. I will try to let you know what is happening in truth with our money and our island.
The time has come for some reason and openness in our government, not just saying it but really letting people see the truth behind the plans for our island and its economy.
I don’t want to be in the dark anymore. It does affect me and my family. We all deserve to know we are safe in our jobs and in our homes.
Vote for me, Anthony Walkington, and let’s find out the truth.
It’s our island and we deserve to know what’s planned for it.
