I am standing for St. Peter Port North. I live there and am in my second term as a Douzenier.

In 2000 I stood in St. Peter Port on a platform of ‘A better deal for nurses’. When the Parish split in 2004, I stood in St. Peter Port North, narrowly missing out with 620 votes.

This time I have been asked to stand by many members of “the Public” - they are the really important people … not the Deputies who are there to express the wishes of their electorate !

This is now in your hands - in a few days you will go to the Polls. If all those 620 of you who voted for me in 2004 support me again, and each of you can get one more person to vote for me, then you can secure my election as YOUR representative.

A few of my beliefs :

I oppose :

* Student Loans

* Paid Parking which will kill SPP trade.

I support :

* Freedom of Information

* A Sewage Treatment Plant

* A Minimum Wage

* Equal Pay for Women

I believe we shall have to export our solid waste. The tip is full !

As the 11th wealthiest state in the World we MUST do more for our pensioners and lowest paid - 17% of whom live below the ‘Poverty Line’. That’s a scandal.

I spent 22 years working in the computer and UK finance industries delivering systems on-time and within budget, followed by experience in the Public Sector locally.

I am confident I have the ability and skills necessary to be a good People’s Deputy.
