Stephen Le Prevost

Hello my name is Stephen Le Prevost. I am 35 years old.

Born in Guernsey, I am married to Zita and we have 2 girls aged 4 and 8. We live in St Peter Port north and I work at St Andrews School. I have always Had a passion for the upper parishes. I

lived in St Saviours as a boy, right up until I was 23 years old. Four years ago I considered standing for election in St Peter Port north but did not because we had just had a baby and I believed that this would not be fair on my wife.

Over the past four and a half years I have worked for the States Education. If elected, I will seek to lower government spending and taxes in the island. I support the police efforts to control crime in Guernsey and will look to increase their power.

I am committed to ensuring that we preserve our history, culture and small businesses. We have lost so much over the years and spent all our time and money in developing Guernsey that we have forgotten that we are not city people. We are Guernsey people and proud of it.

I cannot solve all Guernsey’s problems, nor can I stop vandalism. But what I can do, if I am elected is make sure that I do my best, day and night, to help our island and its people. I want to be there for you.
