St Peter Port South

I believe that my manifesto addresses key areas which you, the voter and none voter feel very important and impact on your lives in one way or another.

ECONOMY

It remains to be seen if zero-10 will stave off a Goods & Sales Tax or if zero-10 will work.

We need to encourage more light industry by building more units.

Population should be capped.

I am a great believer in full equality within the work place and support the need for change.

EDUCATION

I oppose the closure of both St Andrews and St Sampsons schools.

LAW & ORDER

I believe that we must not drop our guard in dealing with all associated crime which impacts on our society.

Lowering the legal categorisation of cannabis must not be an option.

We must ensure that those members of our community who are addicted to illegal drugs have rights and are supported and offered the best form of appropriate programmes available.

HEALTH & SOCIAL SERVICES

I would support upgrading of all Mental Health services and buildings via investment.

Smoking is a motivating issue. I would strongly oppose any further anti-smoking policy in whatever capacity.

ENVIRONMENT & HERITAGE

The issue of the environment is important. We must work alongside the old architecture which will complement the new in all developments.

Our green lung areas are a prime example of old blending with new and must not be destroyed, but expanded on.

YOUTH

Our youth are the islands future. We should all be creating a partnership with our youth, listening to what their needs and aspirations are across the board, and acting on these needs should be one of the requirements of any good government.
