The core activity of the Guernsey Press Co. Ltd is publication of the Guernsey Press and Star.
The Guernsey Press has a daily circulation of more than 15,000, and is read by some 38,000 people every day, or more than 80% of the island’s adult population.
The Press, as it is known locally, appears six days a week and, as well as covering local news and sport, features daily business pages that focus on the island’s financial and commercial activities.
Additionally, there are regular features about life in the island plus letters and commentary on the major issues of the day. The newspaper has become the dominant publication in the island for classified advertising.
Anyone can sell items, find out about properties to let and for sale, and to keep in touch with island births, marriages and deaths.
Other major activities of the Guernsey Press Co., which you can read about in this section are advertising within the newspaper and the publication Guernsey Now, a high quality colour magazine published by sister company Guernsey Publishing.
