Again this year we are allocating a limited number of design briefs to each school. We hope this will help students, resulting in them achieving a first, second and third for each sponsor an advertisement is designed for.
We believe that the challenges set to students mean that there are many positive educational benefits to be had. Local businesses also appreciate this opportunity to interact with youngsters in a practical learning experience and it’s a great opportunity for our young designers to see their work published.
We are delighted to say that Quantum Cabling are again sponsors of the overall competition and will be providing £150 each for the two schools attended by the Senior and Junior Designers of the Year. Prizes for the winners in each category will comprise of vouchers courtesy of Holeshot and HS2.
Advert briefs should be studied carefully. Our judges will assess the “fit” of the finished work with the brief.
Please note that all entries in the web banner category must be supplied electronically – i.e. on CD. Also all entries in all categories must come via schools.
As each school now has designated advert briefs it is important that designs for these sponsors only are created. We are grateful to these sponsors for their invaluable support and therefore ask that they each receive an appropriate number of entries.
Entries should arrive at our Braye Road, Vale offices marked Design-an-Ad no later than 5.00 p.m. Friday 13 May, 2011.
The presentation of trophies will be as follows:
Juniors Tuesday 14 June, 2011, 4.00 p.m., at St Pierre Park Hotel.
Seniors Tuesday 21 June, 2011, 4.00 p.m., at St Pierre Park Hotel.
Publication of the special newspaper is scheduled for Wednesday 20 July 2011. If you have queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
