Diary will show early secrets of the SAS
Friday 23rd September 2011, 2:29PM BST.

TODAY sees the launch of The SAS War Diary – published thanks to the efforts of Guernseyman Martin Morgan.
For the first time, the public will be able to see reproductions of the unique document originally compiled as a scrapbook by a former Special Air Service member in 1946.
The 1941-1945 diary includes top secret orders, photographs of the original members and newspaper articles, as well as more information recently compiled with help from the special forces archives.
Prior to the launch, Mr Morgan (pictured) said yesterday that he was delighted to reach the point at which it would finally be on show.

It can be purchased at http://www.saswardiary.co.uk/home/buy-the-diary/ but the cost ranges from £750 to £2500!!! Even on ebay bidding started at £2000.
I think I’ll give it a miss for now. Maybe one day the publisher will see some sense and realise that much more money could be raised if it was affordable to the ‘man in the street’
