Writer switches to GFA
Saturday 1st May 2004, 12:00AM BST.
FORMER Guernsey Press football correspondent Matt Fallaize is the new Guernsey Football Association secretary. He will replace Mark Le Tissier in the full-time £24k -a-year role from 1 June, although he will start learning the ropes from Monday 10 May.
Fallaize beat off the challenge from five others shortlisted and his appointment is welcomed by outgoing GFA president Alec Le Noury.
‘With his experience of local football and in the media I’m sure he will be a tremendous asset to us,’ said Le Noury.
‘He was a unanimous choice of the panel.’
