Leader Smith cannot relax

ONLY four points separate the top three players in the Guernsey Youth Bowling Club Division One. Daniel Smith leads the way from Lauren Hurford and Sam de Carteret.

The juniors have been producing some exceptional scores of late, confirming that their regular coaching sessions are paying dividends.

Matt Southwell produced a 205 game, while high series came from Smith (563), Grimshaw (523) and Steven de Carteret (506).

Among the girls Hurford rolled a 220 game, Stephanie Hale a 204 and Kayleigh Marquis 189.

John Gauvain leads Division Two ahead of Tom Smith and Marie-Claire Savident.

Simon de Mouilpied took highest game and series with 168-431 while Gauvain had a 370 series and Sebastian Lowe a 334.

Jordan Priaulx again took the highest for the girls and is rapidly improving his scoring with 126-348.

Jim Skaith continues to lead the YACs league having dropped just one point from 35 so far.

He maintains a 186 game average and holds the high series to date with 634.

Danni Le Couvey (179-482) continues to improve and moves into second and Steve Cutler is third.

High scores went to Skaith with an excellent 238-634 while Stuart Lowery now holds the high game record with 239.
