Man dies in farm tractor accident

A MAN died following a tractor accident on a farm at Rue du Lorier, St Saviour’s, yesterday afternoon. An ambulance attended at about 3.30pm along with police and two fire appliances.
The accident is believed to have happened in a barn.
The victim has not been named.
‘We are unable to make any comment at this stage, but we hope to be able to release details about the incident soon,’ said a police spokesman.
Accident investigators were believed to be at the scene liaising with the emergency services.
The farm is in a lane near La Houguette Primary School which leads from Route des Paysans towards Route des Clos Landais and the reservoir.
A man walking in the area was prevented from going down the drive leading to the farm to find out what had happened as it had been cordoned off.
