Keep in touch with BlackBerry

WAVE TELECOM has added two of the latest BlackBerry smartphones to its range of mobiles. The Pearl and 8700g supply users with push email, text messaging, web browser and organiser applications all in one device.

Business development executive Lloyd Foley said: ‘The BlackBerry solution has already become a vital tool for millions of people and organisations across the globe so we are delighted to be able to offer these latest devices.’

He said BlackBerry was ideal for business as it enabled users to stay connected to their customers and employees at all times.

‘Business users effectively have all the information from their office computer with them in a pocket-sized handset,’ he said.

‘Emails, calendar appointments and corporate data applications can be managed on the move, so time spent at the airport, on the bus or waiting to meet someone can now be used constructively.’

Wave is offering two services. For corporate users there is the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, which tightly integrates with office computer systems and networks to enable secure, push-based wireless access to email and other data. For individual users, the BlackBerry Internet Service enables users to manage up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts.

Managing director Tim Ringsdore said BlackBerry was another important addition to its product range.

‘It has been requested by a number of our customers and the response we have had so far has been exceptional. We are looking forward to a great deal of success.’
