SWAROVSKI is celebrating 45 years in Guernsey. Local branch owner Terry Snell has worked with the Austrian company, which specialises in crystal jewellery stones, lighting, home accessories and collectibles fashioned from faceted crystal, for 30 of them.
Two years ago he made the transition to become a co-owner of a Swarovski franchise.
Mr Snell said the success of his business was largely thanks to the support of a great community.
‘I have some very loyal customers and the store attracts new ones all the time,’ he said.
‘I am very proud to have worked in this industry for so long and while Swarovski itself has continued to grow, I have been in a position to grow with it,’ he said.
As a keen collector, Mr Snell has created a large following within the Swarovski Crystal Society, an exclusive club which brings the latest designs in collectibles into members’ homes. This year marks its 20th anniversary.
Mr Snell, having witnessed the evolution of the society, has brought hundreds of new collectors into the sparkling fold.
Swarovski recently launched its new spring and summer Silver Crystal collection, which is in Mr Snell’s store in Le Pollet.
The collection, themed Sands of Time, embraces the company’s philosophy that embodies high fashion, luxury and dazzling quality. ‘The new ranges present a unique and magical collection that draw inspiration from nature, creating the ultimate statement in sophistication,’ he said.
