Zoe, 20, realises salon dream

DOG owners can make use of a new grooming salon. Zoe Gallienne has opened her first business in Rue des Pointes, St Andrew’s, as a newly qualified practitioner with three years’ experience in the industry.
She operates in a converted log cabin, fully equipped with hydraulic table and bath.
‘I am looking forward to the challenge of running a business and being my own boss. I am really excited.’
The 20-year-old said it had always been a dream to work with animals.
She got into pet grooming working at her aunt’s salon, Pampered Dogs, during her school holidays.
Having decided to follow in her aunt’s footsteps. Miss Gallienne has since gained the industry standard qualification following a two-week intensive course at Canine Design in Bristol.
‘I am totally committed to offering a one-to-one service and the dogs will not be left in cages for long periods.’
The cages are fur lined to make them comfortable.
Miss Gallienne is offering a 10% discount for each new customer on their first visit.
She thanked her father, David, of David J. Gallienne and Son Builders, and electrician Dean Machon for their work on renovating the cabin.
