Award reflects on salon’s high standard

REFLECTIONS Beauty Salon at La Villette Hotel is celebrating its continued ‘crystal status’. The salon was awarded it for the first time in 2005 by its beauty-product provider, Thalgo, and owners Rachel Leech and Elizabeth Coleman found out recently it had kept the status for 2006.

The pair will find out at the beginning of next year whether they have made it three years in a row for 2007.

Mrs Leech and Mrs Coleman set up Reflections at the hotel eight years ago, but it took until 2005 to gain crystal status.

Mrs Leech said the business had gone from strength to strength in that time, increasing both the number of treatment rooms and range of treatments available.

The award reflected the salon’s continued development of Thalgo treatments and high standard of therapy, she added.

‘It’s something we want to achieve every year. Each year the stakes are higher and we want to push ourselves to that standard. It’s nice to be acknowledged.

In September 2004, Marie France Boes joined Reflections and in June Marie Payne joined the team, having successfully passed the beauty-therapy course run through the College of Further Education.

Mrs Coleman said the recognition from Thalgo was down to hard work, constantly reviewing new treatments and developments within the industry and the team’s passion and enthusiasm for beauty therapy as well as the support of clients.

‘By staff maintaining a high standard of client care together with their love of beauty therapy, we hope Reflections will continue to be as successful in future.’
