Minister seeks exemption over UK taxation net
Wednesday 20th February 2008, 2:29PM GMT.
GUERNSEY is trying to become exempt from a 90-day- stay rule that threatens to put local residents into the UK taxation net.
Chief Minister Mike Torode was in Westminster yesterday discussing how the UK Government’s alterations to what counts as a 90-day stay in the country could affect local people.
Anyone who spends 90 days or more in the UK can be subject to UK taxes.
