A CODE of conduct to protect Guernsey’s bulk mailing businesses is likely following a decision by senior representatives of the Office of Utility Regulation, the Policy Council and Commerce and Employment.
A meeting took place at La Trelade Hotel yesterday morning which was also attended by Guernsey Post and the majority of bulk mailers.
It reviewed a report carried out by the OUR on behalf of C&E into low value consignment relief as applicable to DVDs and CDs dispatched from the Channel Islands. LVCR permits goods below £18 to be exported into the EU from non-EU jurisdictions without paying VAT.
