ANGRY customers of Beauty and the East contacted the Guernsey Press yesterday after news broke of its closure. Several said they had gift vouchers which were now useless.

Jessica Bisson, 32, was given £45 as a leaving present from her old job and had been planning to use the vouchers before her holiday.
‘It’s just a real shock,’ said the administrator.

‘I was only talking to my boyfriend about spending them a few days ago. They sent out Christmas cards with a 10% discount offer so I was waiting for the end of that offer before I used them as you couldn’t use both together.
