‘SOMETHING needs to be done’. That is the message from Rangers coach Mac Gallienne, who has proposed replacing the Jackson League and Youth One with a development league.
There have been criticisms that the Jackson League has become meaningless with clubs near enough fielding their Priaulx sides to fulfil the fixtures and is an unnecessary extra burden.
The Guernsey Football Association are hosting an open forum with the clubs next Monday evening where the idea will be discussed. ‘Something needs to be done – it’s no good saying everything is all right,’ said Gallienne.

Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
If only Mac Gallienne’s attitude of coming up with positive alternatives had been around last season! Then, his attitude was more along the lines of give up if it’s too much effort. He decided it was far easier to pull the Rangers ladies team from the league (without any notice to the players) rather than try and recruit new players to keep it going.
