WHAT do Chelsea’s Wayne Bridge and Shaun ‘Sid’ Le Prevost have in common?
Other than footballers, one is a rampaging left-back on 50 grand plus a week, the other a retired amateur goal poacher with North who, just like Bridge at Wembley last weekend, saw a ball hit his hand and be cruelly punished from the penalty spot in a crucial cup game.
In Sid’s case, the occasion was the semi-finals of the 1987-8 Dorset County Senior Cup when North were just one win away from becoming the first Guernsey side to reach a county final.
