IT TURNED out to be a bit of an anti-climax in the end, but Coreix Unwantables have won the Investec Men’s Division One.

Unwantables’ final match with Mavericks on Saturday at Foote’s Lane was supposed to be the game that the league leaders had to win to claim the title.

But with Cenkos Yobbos and Investec Colombians drawing 3-3 earlier in the day, the former’s own title hopes disappeared with the stalemate and the light blues had won the top flight for the first time since 1993, regardless of their result against Mavericks.
