TOMAHAWK and Vamoosh are the yachts to beat with two races remaining in the Heritage Frostbite Winter Series.

They head the cruiser and racer overall lists respectively after Saturday’s fourth event of the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club series, which was held in force-five/six north-westerly winds. Sixteen yachts gathered at the Castle Cornet start line and got away cleanly towards the first mark, Anfre Beacon.

Most of the 10 racers hoisted their spinnakers at the turn towards Lower Heads Buoy, but the cruisers were more cautious and were satisfied just to goose-wing their way across the tide and towards the south-east.
