Jack achieves his final goal

GUERNSEY’S Jack Oldfield reached the final of the Ariel 10 & Under Indoor Series at the Esporta Centre in Oxford on Saturday.

That was the last main draw event in the series. Each consists of eight players who have each won or been runner-up in a qualifying event and in total only 48 players in the country make it through to the six main draw events held four times throughout the winter.

All the players in the Oxford draw had a similar level of tournament experience to Oldfield, who has now played 18 LTA tournaments, so the task was not going to be easy.
