Island brand officially launches in Shanghai

THE Guernsey brand has officially been launched in China.

GuernseyFinance has opened its Shanghai office, which will provide a base for the island to promote its professionalism and expertise in financial services. Chief Minister Mike Torode, who is in China with a delegation of senior States officials and business leaders, performed the official opening.

He told an audience of 55 Shanghai professionals that Guernsey was committed to forging stronger links between the two countries. ‘Let me stress that we are here for the long term,’ he said.
