FORMER Vazon Bay Hotel owner Alan Jackson has had his court case against Chandlers Ltd and Tony Gover thrown out.
Mr Jackson had been given a deadline to pay £15,000 in security of costs for the two defendants or the case would be struck off. He did not pay the money. Mr Jackson had claimed that the accountancy firm and Mr Gover, who had sold him the businesses, misled him when the transaction took place. He was seeking more than £1.1m.
He had not turned up for several hearings in the Royal Court and had been accused, by Chandlers’ advocate Jeremy Wessels, of manipulating the legal process to prolong the case by feigning illness.
