Music goes quiet as the Lodge is to close
Saturday 22nd March 2008, 8:22AM GMT.
THE L’Ancresse Lodge will close in less than three weeks. It is set to be converted into flats, in line with planning permission granted five years ago.
The former hotel has recently operated as a lodging house, bar and music venue. It will shut on 10 April, leaving manager Bruno Crozier and his partner to find other jobs.
‘I knew it was going to happen one day, but it’s sad and I need to find somewhere to go,’ said Mr Crozier. He added that business had been starting to pick up.
