AFTER avoiding being paralysed by just a few millimetres when he broke his back in a freak motocross accident last October, Marc Cox got back on a bike for the first time at the weekend.
It was a special early birthday present for the motocross star, who turns 21 this week, having started racing when he was 10. ‘I had only had minor breaks before but the surgeon said I was within a few millimetres of being paralysed from my chest area down,’ he said.
‘I was worried and after that I just listened to what the doctor said. I crushed two vertebrae but it naturally fixed itself,’ said the mechanic, who works in the police garage.
