NORTHERN TRUST beat Close Wealth Management in the final of the Business League competition organised by the Guernsey Small-bore Rifle Club LBG.
That was after both semi-final matches had ended in ties and had to be settled on countback. In the first, Wallace Barnaby tied with Close on 391 after some excellent shooting from Chris Le Poidevin and Sharon Alabaster from Wallace Barnaby who both scored 99s.
After taking into account competitors’ second targets, they were very unlucky to lose 382 against 384. In the other semi-final, Guernsey Post had tied with Northern Trust on 391, again after 99s from Guy Hendry and Mike Reeves from the Post Office, but lost on countback 378 to 384 partly as a result of 100 from Steve Evans.
