MONEY is still coming in for the Maison Million Appeal.
‘It’s eased up a little bit, but we’ve had one or two large donations,’ said Paul Le Boutillier, chairman of Maison L’Aumone. ‘We would like it to be a bit quicker than it is. But we are going to get there and we are extremely upbeat about the whole situation.’
Mr Le Boutillier said he was unable to provide a total raised so far, but was meeting the secretary in seven days’ time and would know an accurate figure then.
The appeal was launched by the Guernsey Press in April 2007 to help raise the £1m. needed to begin work on the project. In January, the total stood at £618,000.
