Five-star Northerners see off spirited Sylvans

NORTH and Sylvans last night put on a Corbet Cup final worthy of its guest of honour Sir Trevor Brooking.

And it was North to whom he was handing the cup and the winners medals after they won a thrilling match in front of more than 400 spectators at the Corbet Field.

‘Congratulations to both sides – it was an excellent game with great passing,’ said Brooking afterwards. ‘It’s also so nice to see so many parents here. Keep up the good work in Guernsey.’
