PEOPLE living around the Fontaine Vinery site want to see the restrictions that are supposedly in place for its use better enforced.
At the very least, they want the area screened off from the road. Residents met members of Public Services, Treasury and Resources and Environmental Health on Friday to discuss their concerns.
These ranged from the site being used out of hours, the noise and light pollution generated from the facility and whether it was likely to be designated as a permanent area for recycling and small businesses. Residents’ spokeswoman Karel Hort said they wanted assurances that the temporary site would not become permanent.
