Local five-piece My Last Victory took to the stage on Saturday and proved why they were one of the few local bands chosen to perform.

The band, who are now based in Brighton, sounded incredible on the impressive sound system, which was noted not only by festival-goers but by Biffy Clyro and Noel Fielding as well.

‘The drummer from Biffy Clyro asked for our CD and gave our drummer Seann some drum pads, which was cool,’ said singer Jack Fletcher.

Noel commented on Josh’s guitar solos and said that he was a fan.

‘Noel came up to me and asked me if we were the band who had just been rocking the guitar solos,’ said Josh.

‘He said that he liked us and also asked for a CD. I nearly wet myself afterwards.’

The band’s hard work seems to be paying off slowly but surely and this performance at Guernsey Live will only open more doors.

‘We’re trying to play as many shows as possible back in Brighton and hoping to do a lot more in London,’ said Seann.

‘It’s been great being able to come back and play on that size stage with a great sound system, plus our performance was filmed so we’ll be able to send the footage to promoters in England and hopefully get the ball rolling.’
