THE summer karting season is underway after a stuttering start. With the first meeting of the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club’s summer championships abandoned after a number of minor incidents meant that it overran, the attention was on round two of the Chateaux Estates sponsored series at the Track.
In the senior libre class it was Matt Corson who was celebrating at the end after he had taken the final race. ‘It was good and I’m definitely pleased. It all went well,’ said Corson afterwards.
All eyes had been on the Hockadays, Dave and Ayrton, who were sporting brand-new KFI engines.
