Two grey mullet enough for Gillot to win Herm match
Wednesday 4th June 2008, 2:29PM BST.
MEMBERS of the West Coast Sea Angling Club caught four grey mullet, three mackerel, two garfish and two lesser-spotted dogfish when they fished their all-day in Herm match.
Eleven anglers entered the competition and seven brought fish to the scales. The winner was Lee Gillot with two grey mullet for 4-12-0 and 59 points.
His overall weight gave him half the competition kitty by virtue of landing the heaviest bag of the day. The other half went to second- placed Mark Le Page for the biggest mullet.
His 3-3-0 specimen was his only fish of the day and gave him 32.75 points. Close behind was Shane Huxster whose 3-2-0 mullet was worth 32.5.
