A COMPROMISE deal struck by the GFA board and the senior clubs is already in danger of collapse and with it the immediate future of the Guernsey game, funding and all.

Tight-lipped clubs, who vowed at their crunch meeting with the board on Monday evening to say nothing to the media until they had gone back to their members for more discussion, are seemingly ready to throw out the compromise deal.

North would appear to be, judging by comments from their president yesterday, while Sylvans are understood to have already met and, despite rumours that they would reject the proposal, club president Peter Roberts said they will delay a decision until the week of the GFA annual meeting.

Meanwhile, Vale Rec would have to overturn  a diktat made at a recent EGM to stay with the traditional under-18 league.
