Commissioner keen to talk

DIALOGUE between the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and the companies it regulates is set to flourish with the appointment of its new commissioner.
Dr Cees Schrauwers (pictured) said market research would be his first step upon taking over from Rosemary Radcliffe, who resigned last year due to poor health.
He said the GFSC role would allow him to use his vast experience of dealing with regulators from the receiving end.
‘I want to meet a number of companies that are being regulated to get their opinions from their perspective. It’s a fresh approach, but having come from their side I know what I would want to talk to a regulator about.’
