MILLARD & CO. has found Guernsey’s oldest biker.
Lloyd Richards, 89, won a competition launched to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the cycle and motorcycle business on 5 July. He has been a customer of the family firm for 75 years.
He arrived on his scooter with proof of ID to win the title. Mr Richards bought his first bike, a BSA side valve, at the age of 14.
‘It used to belong to a fishmonger and had a basket on the back to store the fish when he did his deliveries,’ said Mr Richards, who will turn 90 on 8 July.
