THE Rock to Rocque charity bike ride for Les Bourgs Hospice has a new look this year. The popular family event is being replaced with a Ride ’n’ Dine on Sunday 6 July.

Nikki Fallaize, a committee member of the Friends of Les Bourgs Hospice, which organises the ride, said the event would allow more families to get involved. ‘People can still ride their bikes but there will now be a chance for those who don’t want to ride to get together afterwards,’ she said.

There will be a 21-mile ride from Saumarez Park around the coast and country roads as well as a shorter route starting from Salerie car park. ‘All riders will finish at Saumarez Park where there will be a fantastic afternoon out for all the family,’ said Mrs Fallaize.

The ride from the park will start at 10am and at 11am from Salerie car park. The party in the park will start at noon and includes a hog roast and a BBQ with vegetarian options, live entertainment, balloon modelling, bouncy castles and inflatable games.
