Watson takes on supermodel

IT PROMISES to be a cracker of a match as Heather Watson and Tara Moore take on Katarzyna Piter and Romana Tabakova in the second round of the girls’ doubles at Wimbledon today.

Piter and Tabakova were very impressive as they beat the tournament’s number seven seeds Cindy Chala of France and Thailand’s Noppawan Lertcheewakarn 7-5, 6-1 on court four last night.

Piter, 17, is from Poland and has a world ranking of 20, while Tabakova has a world ranking of 79. The 17-year-old Slovakian is a supermodel in her spare time.

Sarnian Watson and her partner Tara Moore were also in inspired form on Monday in their first round victory over Bistra Otashliyska and Alyona Sotnikova, who are both ranked in the top 100 in the world.
